Materials Manager

Job summary:

The Materials Manager leads material supply planning, supplier relationships, in-plant management, and finished goods distribution for Regal Rexnord’s Automation & Motion Control Segment. Reporting to the Senior Manager Operations, this role ensures efficient material flow, cost savings, risk management, and strategic growth. Responsibilities include overseeing material movement, logistics, and collaboration with teams on service levels and market expansion.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop a long-term strategy for systems, processes, and skills to advance materials management and SIOP across the division, aligning with RRX goals.
• Lead supply chain initiatives, providing direction, setting expectations, and coaching stakeholders.
• Collaborate with demand planning, product, engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.
• Work with product management and commercial teams to establish SLAs and strategic plans for revenue growth.
• Streamline processes for supplier management, order fulfillment, inventory, and materials activities.Identify risks and implement scalable solutions for materials and supply chain management.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement for predictable and efficient operations.
• Establish KPI programs to monitor team and supply chain performance.
• Ensure SIOP plans align with customer needs and manufacturing capabilities.
• Enhance supply chain visibility to reduce inventory, improve delivery, and lower costs.
• Develop analytics to track and improve key supply chain metrics.
• Oversee and continually improve the Materials Management function.

What do we ask of you?

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain/ Materials, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience with international supply chain planning and leading a supply chain team.
• Prior experience with utilizing lean methodology and tools to improve operations.
• Experience leading a team of purchasing and planning professionals.
• Experience in injection molding and assembly operations, preferred.
• Experience in managing receiving, shipping, logistics and distribution functions, preferred.
• Sound knowledge of SAP/ERP experience is preferred.
• Experience utilizing a Kanban inventory system.
• Experience providing materials for both build to order and warehouse managed businesses.
