Machine Operator MTT

Job summary:

You will set up, adjust and operate production machines within our steel production environment. You ensure that the production process runs safely, smoothly and according to quality standards, resolve technical issues and carry out preventive maintenance. Together with your colleagues, you continuously work on process improvements and keep your workplace clean and safe. You will grow step by step in your role under the guidance of experienced operators.

Your responsibilities:

• Setting up, adjusting and operating production machines
• Monitoring and adjusting the production process in line with quality standards
• Identifying and resolving malfunctions and process deviations
• Performing preventive maintenance on machines (TPM)
• Ensuring a safe, clean and well‑organised workplace (5S)
• Contributing ideas and actively supporting continuous process improvements
• Working closely with fellow operators and learning from experienced colleagues

Special conditions

• Works in a noisy environment
• Works with hazardous oil and air pressures
• Works with chemical oils and cleaning agents
• Works with sharp materials and tools

What do we ask of you?

• A technical education at minimum MBO level 3 (preferably mechanical engineering), or equivalent work and thinking level
• At least 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a production or technical environment
• Willingness to follow additional courses or training when required
• Demonstrable suitability according to the skills matrix for MTT Machine Operator I
• A production‑focused and quality‑driven mindset
• A proactive attitude and the motivation to propose improvements
• Flexibility in working hours and availability within a 2‑shift system
• A problem‑solving mindset
• Affinity with technology and mechanical work (e.g. hobbies such as working on cars, motorcycles or home projects)
• An accurate and systematic way of working
• Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written
• Willingness, by mutual agreement, to work overtime when required
