Teamlead Shipping

Job summary:

As a Shipping Team Leader, you are responsible for coordinating national and international shipments. You ensure all transportation activities are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable regulations. In this role, you work closely with colleagues from Customer Service, Warehouse, and Logistics, as well as carriers, customs authorities, and customers.

You combine operational coordination with administrative accuracy and people leadership. Thanks to your organizational skills, our global deliveries run efficiently and smoothly.

Your responsibilities:

• Organizing and coordinating national and international shipments by air, sea, road, and courier services.
• Preparing and managing export documentation and customs-related paperwork.
• Coordinating shipments with carriers, customs authorities, and other external partners.
• Processing orders, invoices, credits, and debits in SAP.
• Reviewing transportation invoices and maintaining accurate administrative records.
• Coordinating return shipments and special transportation requests.
• Supporting month-end and quarter-end closing activities.
• Coaching, guiding, and supporting Shipping team members.
• Conducting development and performance discussions with employees.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and driving implementation.
• Collaborating with Customer Service, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure an efficient flow of goods.
• Acting as a key link between operations, administration, customers, and carriers.
• Supporting other logistics activities when required.
• Contributing to continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.

What do we ask of you? 

• HBO working and thinking level, preferably in a logistics or administrative field.
• Experience within logistics, transportation, and export processes.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
• Experience with SAP and strong Excel skills are considered an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• A proactive, accurate, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Full-time availability and a willingness to continue developing through training and education.
