What will you do?
Job summary:
The Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) Engineer plays a crucial role in improving operational performance and business processes through continuous improvement and advanced manufacturing concepts. You will implement lean concepts, operational excellence, and six sigma tools across all business aspects. Additionally, you will ensure alignment within the organization to provide benefits in terms of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory. This role requires leadership skills to collaborate with employees and colleagues on key initiatives.
You will report to the Plant Manager and functionally to the RBS Director/Manager.
Your responsibilities:
- Assists the RBS Director/Manager in leading and managing continuous improvement projects to achieve measurable business process improvements.
- Applies Lean Manufacturing methodology and analytics in operations to accomplish business objectives.
- Collaborates with other functional leaders in planning, designing, and executing key projects.
- Trains associates in standardization, problem-solving, and improvement tools (SW, 6S, Process Mapping, Problem Solving, Kaizen, Kata, and Pull Principles) and supports their implementation within the organization and with external partners.
- Promotes and facilitates workflow analysis on the shop floor and implements standard work to achieve improvement priorities sustainably through process-based improvements.
- Documents “best practices” within the company and builds a knowledge-sharing platform for associates.
- Supports the team in developing a vision and roadmap for the implementation of strategic objectives.
- Promotes Visual Daily Management and GEMBA activities through training and setting examples to engage associates.
What do we ask of you?
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO). Preferably in Engineering, Project Management, or Supply Chain.
- Bilingual. English and Dutch.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the Toyota Production System; knowledge of the Danaher Business System is a plus.
Leadership Competencies:
- 3-4 years of experience in lean manufacturing or another continuous improvement methodology, with practical experience in both production and transactional areas.
- Self-starter with high accuracy, customer focus, and excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Skills in training and coaching, with a proven track record of delivering and sustaining measurable results.
- Cultural change agent, capable of stimulating critical thinking and accurately analyzing complex situations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management, and in applying LEAN tools and techniques in a practical, hands-on manner.
