Assembly and Automation Engineer

Job summary:

Responsible for independently planning and implementing various internal and external technical projects and reporting thereon.

Your responsibilities:

• Analyzing and improving existing production methods and resources, with special focus on (robot) handling and assembly processes;
• Proactively submitting concrete and practical proposals to optimize methods and processes;
• Efficiently use existing or new tools to carry out projects;
• Implement and manage assigned projects;
• Participate proactively in assigned project teams;
• Budget monitoring and assessing quotations;
• Providing progress visits to suppliers and reporting on this;
• Maintaining knowledge and contacts with external relations regarding the areas of interest;
• Setting up, updating and substantiating cost-benefit analyzes for projects;
• Ensuring subsequent calculations of completed projects.

What do we ask of you?

• Technical education towards HBO Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant work experience;
• Willing to follow relevant training/courses;
• Demonstrable work experience with robot programming and the Vision program;
• Demonstrable work experience with CAD drawing, preferably in SolidWorks;
• Project-based working method according to Stagegate principles;
• Good communication skills and written/oral expression;
• Certain degree of persuasiveness;
• Able to function independently as well as within a team;
• Initiative, flexible and practical attitude.
